what's so amazing about really deep thoughts?

renaissance?

its been over a year since my last post. in that time, adam and i started our family and are now the ridiculously proud parents of a nearly six-month-old daughter, sophia.

i didn't deliberately stop writing here, but life took on a lot of new and exciting changes, and the demands on my time dictated that some things had to take a back seat on the list of priorities. i started a new journal to document our pregnancy and sophie's milestones (check out the link at the right if you're interested), and i didn't seem to have time to write about anything else.

but lately, i've been feeling the tugging of creative energy, and i want to write for myself again. it certainly won't be prolific by any means, but if i have a few spare minutes now and then, i'd like to throw some words down on the page. i loved the opportunity with which this site provided me, and hopefully it will now have a bit of a renewal and once again give me that outlet.
